The brain's ability to rewire itself by paving new neural pathways when it feels the need to adapt. In simple words, our brain is ever-growing, ever-changing, and ever-improving.

What are some safety precautions that need to be followed after having a brain injury?
Any activity that can lead to harm to the brain. Ice staking, riding a motorcycle, cliff jumping.
What does "Use it or lose it" mean in terms of neuroplasticity
Your brain is made up of a network of neural connections. Every thought/action/skill you practice has a specific set of connections that fire in the brain - but those connections only stay strong if you use them.

The ability to use, manipulate, and apple memory for a period of time.

Practice is key. Frequency and consistency are very important. Just like going to the gym and lifting weights, our brain is the same.

Short-term: Acts as a "scratch pad" for temporarily recalling information and is made up of 2 types:
- Immediate: Recalling information that was recently presented
- Delay: The ability to recollect information that was acquired earlier.
