The night before Jesus dies, He started communion with His disciples at the Last Supper.

The Bible

What is an ordinance?
A symbolic command; like baptism represents how our sin is "washed" away and a new person comes up out of the water. It is figurative!
What unifies the church family?
The Bible!
Who should take communion?
Christians who understand its meaning and who are not currently unrepentant of sins they are struggling with.
What happened at Pentecost?
The Holy Spirit came to start the church!
Why should Christians join the local church?
To grow closer to Christ through teaching and being around other Christians.
Where should people be baptized?
No specific location; but it should be in front of the church members.
What is the blessing of joining God's family?
Eternal life with God!
What is communion?
Remembering Christ's death.
What is the function of the church?
Tell others about Jesus, praise God!
What does it mean that the church is like a body?
The church is made up of many different kinds of people that all believe the same thing, that Christ is the leader or head of the church just like the body is lead by the head.
How does water baptism identify Christians with Jesus?
It symbolizes being buried and resurrected in the likeness of Christ.
Do we DESERVE God's blessing of salvation?
NO! There is nothing we can do to deserve or earn salvation!
What is the purpose of communion?
To remember Christ's sacrifice He made for our sins and for us to repent of our sins to Him.
