Nerd sterotype for someone who is academic, it can affect them positively as this sterotype might provide opportunites to learning experiences others would have. Example; a teacher thinks a student is nerd so they are given a chance to go on an excursion that others are not.

Speak up and report it! If in school can talk to a trusted teacher, if outside can talk to authorities.

It's important as their cultural beliefs and ways of life are rooted within their connection to country and their sense of beloning with thier country. Examples are the morals that they pass on through dreamtime stories are based on the connection to the landthat they have.

Liam just moved to a new school. On his first day, he wore a hoodie with a band logo on it.
A group of students whispered,
“People who listen to that are scary and probably cause fights.”They tell others not to talk to Liam because “he’s probably a troublemaker.”

What type of behaviour are the students showing? What can this lead to? and what negative affect will this have on liam?

They are showing prejudice, and this can lead to exclusion and feelings of not belonging at the school. Liam may feel like he has no friends thus he may not try to socialise leading to a decline in mental health.
