Explain how Sargon created his empire.
He built a new capital for the Akkadian people, Akkad on the Euphrates River. He had a permanent army which he sent out to the various city-states of Sumer to conquer them, conquering northern Mesopotamia first. With so much land and power, he eventually he brought all of the region into his empire.
