What is because the French and Indian War put the British into significant debt, Parliament decided to unfairly tax the colonists in a variety of ways. The colonists were furious because of "Taxation without Representation", which fueled their distrust in Britain. This eventually pushed colonists towards seeking independence from Britain; which resulted in the Revolutionary War.

What is the French and Indian War put Britain into a significant amount of debt. As a result, Parliament voted to tax the colonists in many different ways (such as, the Quartering Act, Stamp Act, and Tea Act). The colonists were furious because they did not hold positions in Parliament to help make the taxing decisions. Colonists claimed that they could not be justly taxed if they did not have a say in the laws that would tax them.
