Elocutio

One uses an understatement to make a topic/discussion more approachable.
Using One's Credibility to Persuade
Ethos
Besides memorizing and familiarizing oneself with a speech, what does one do in Memoria?
One also learns famous quotes and literacy references that could be used in impromptu speeches.
Contrast Anaphora and Epistrophe
Anaphora is repetition at the beginning of successive clauses. Epistrophe is repetition at the end of successive clauses.
When would it be appropriate to use Pathos rather than Logos?
If one was giving a persuasive speech in which they really need a plan to be passed, but the audience isn't the type of audience to care much for a logical reason why, they should do a pathos/emotional appeal approach.
