Noah had 2 snacks after school. He has not had dinner yet, but has requested more snack 13 times- name one thing you should do.
1) Reinforce communication request. "Thanks for telling me you were thinking about cookies"
2) Tell Noah that cookies are not available, but that you can talk about that after dinner.
3) Let Noah know that snacks are not available at the time, and identify another activity he could participate in.
My student is walking around the living room. Should I keep telling them to sit down?
No- this probably means they are looking for an alternative activity or are not engaged in the environment.
Use their indicating responses as an opportunity to engage in a different activity or work task!
