This Limit 1 card used by Nail in the anime can stop powerful Monsters like Royal Rebel's Heavy Metal or Digisoon the Music Fiend, but has no effect on a Monster that was Special Summoned.
What is Trap Hole?
This skill dominated the meta after its release because it allowed you to Normal Summon Dragon Spirit of White without Tributing, easily banishing one of your opponent's Spell or Traps with minimal effort.
What is Battle Chronicle?
This Monster was arguably powerful, but balanced before the release of the Extra Monster Zone in the TCG. Now, if a Synchron player summons it against you and you don't have a handtrap negate, you typically just surrender.
What is Junk Speeder?
This card seemed like a good ban at the time, but now that everyone is running 30 cards, it would probably be terrible even at 3 copies.
What is That Grass Looks Greener?
This powerful Synchro Monster can target and shuffle back multiple cards on the opponent's field when it's Synchro Summoned, but only if you did it as a Chain Link 1.
What is Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing?
This Spell Card will pull all sorts of ace Monsters out of your Graveyard, whether it is Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Galactica Oblivion or Princess of the Flock - Miss Mutton. Sadly it won't do anything for you in a Blue-Eyes deck.
What is Secret Order?
This skill allows you to play the character's ace monster from outside the Deck for free TWICE per Duel, and only stopped being a dominant force in the meta after Konami forced the deck to include a Limit 1 card in its list to function.
What is ZEXAL II - Power the Future?
The number of HERO cards we have left to get in Duel Links is too many to count, but one very surprising omission is this Monster, who is the most commonly paired card with the two recently released HERO cards "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman - Infernal Rage" and "Favorite Contact".
What is Elemental HERO Shining Neos Wingman?
This card seems perfectly fine, as it takes 3 monsters to make it and then you get to draw 3 cards after you summon it. Unfortunately, this made FTKs far too easy to pull off and so it was Limited to 1.
What is Coach King Giantrainer?
Did your opponent summon a monster with 1500 or more Attack Points? Destroy that monster and banish it...unless it was summoned as a Chain Link 2.
What is Bottomless Trap Hole?
This Monster may not have any Overlay Units, but it is a clear homage to a fan favorite Xyz monster in the Zexal anime.
What is Player Number 39: Home-Run Hitter?
This skill sends 2 level 5 WATER monsters from outside your Deck to the Graveyard. It's up to you to figure out how to make that useful though!
What is Chaos-Purifying Waterfall?
This dangerous Link 3 Monster is pretty hard to summon outside of its own archetype, as it requires 3 monsters of different Types as material. But once you have it on the board, then once per turn when you destroy a face-up card on your opponent's field, you get to draw up to 3 cards!
What is Folgo, Justice Fur Hire?
For the most part, the Limit 2 list is used to house all the stall cards so that you can't build one giant stall deck, but there are a few exceptions from years ago that seem to be mostly just cards Konami hasn't gotten around to unbanning. Like these two cards, which are used together to summon 3 monsters from the deck during the opponent's turn.
What are Void Feast and Void Vanishment?
Oof, nice boss monster! You could banish a card from my hand, field AND Graveyard...if I didn't Book of Eclipse before your Crystron Quandax's effect, anyway.
What is Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier?
This Legendary Monster dominated the early Rush meta with its dangerous combination of protection from battle traps and high Defense Points, allowing you to set it face down and bait your opponent into attacking it before switching to Attack Position and plowing through them on your turn.
What is Ancient Gear Golem?
This skill prevents you from summoning all but one Type of monster (except from the Extra Deck). A very odd restriction, given that in order to summon the deck's main boss monster you would often have to banish two monsters from the GY, including one of a different Type.
What is Dino Awakening?
Now that we are receiving Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, Konami has no reason not to give us this ace Monster from a years-old archetype. Sure, it can't be destroyed by card effects or targeted by your opponent's card effects, but at least it doesn't have an omni-negate. And is attacking your opponent directly REALLY that much worse than Ring of Destructioning two monsters a turn?
What is Mekk-Knight Spectrum Supreme?
Despite this card's floodgate being powerful enough to warrant a ban in Master Duel, in Duel Links the game shifted to having skills that could shuffle a monster from your field back into the deck to pay for cost, so a Limit 3 was enough to stop this card from ever seeing play again.
What is Knightmare Corruptor Iblee?
Formula Synchron can combine with a Level 5 Monster to make this powerful beast and destroy all cards on the field! But only if its the first action taken on an empty board state.
What is Black Rose Dragon?
Be careful passing on just Sevens Road Witch and Sevens Road Magician, because if your opponent summons this Monster, those two are going straight back into your Deck!
What is Metarion Herculestar?
This skill's wording is awful. Rather than preventing you from Summoning Monsters of a different Type, the skill itself simply shuts off if you do Summon a Monster of a different Type before using it. This includes Summoning a Monster of the intended archetype while the Field Spell "Zombie World" is active, as you have now technically summoned a Zombie monster.
What is Clear Wing Acceleration?
Infernoids tend to have a problem of running out of fuel in their Graveyard, which is why this Monster was printed that allows you to banish one Monster from your Graveyard to mill as many different Noids as possible up to that monster's Level.
What is Infernoid Evil?
When this VERY old card was Limited to 1, it created a unique problem for Duel Links. Now, Soulburner's default deck is actually unplayable, as it contains 2 copies of this card when you unlock him. And Konami still hasn't fixed it.
What is Hinotama?
The most infuriating example of missing timing in the entire game in my opinion, it triggers when the monster is sent to the GY but not if it was sent to the GY as material to summon another monster, even if it was Tributed for a Tribute Summon. Basically the only time you will get two HEROes back into your hand with this card's effect is if it's destroyed in battle.
What is Elemental HERO The Shining?
