"Pot of Greed" is the card Konami references in their card art the most by far. However, despite most of their retrains seeing lots of competitive play, this particular version is a total dud. I guess giving the effect to your opponent makes it actually kind of...bad?
What is Gift of Greed?
"A flame manipulator who was the first Elemental HERO woman. Her Burstfire burns away villainy."
What is Elemental HERO Burstinatrix?
What is Flame Bufferlo?
What is Number F0: Utopic Draco Future?
I almost had that game! If only my Superheavy Samurai monsters were in Attack Position, his Trap wouldn't have stopped my attack!
What is Dark Mirror Force?
This card is a reference to an older meta where equipping a vanilla monster with a powerful Equip Spell like Mask of Brutality was actually a solid strategy. As it turns out, these days 1000 Attack Points isn't really worth becoming a vanilla beatstick.
What is Axe of Fools?
"A soul of light covered by mystical shine. When you see its beautiful shape, your dream will come true."
What is Mystical Shine Ball?
This monster was banned from Master Duel up until recently, even though he was only seeing play as part of an engine rather than in his own archetype. Despite now being back at 3, he doesn't see the play he used to. Fusion Destiny just doesn't carry these days.
What is Destiny HERO Celestial?
This monster will increase the attack points of any monster in its archetype by a whopping 2500, one time only. Even during the opponent's turn!
What is Elemental HERO Honest Neos?
You've got to be kidding me! I didn't even Summon a monster! Why does me activating Reinforcement of the Army count as "controlling a card"?
What is Dominus Purge?
Konami botched The Winged Dragon of Ra's effect so badly that they eventually needed to print this card so that players could actually gain Attack Points by Tributing their Monsters, just like what happened every time it was summoned in the anime.
What is Ancient Chant?
"This one-eyed warrior bear is an aggressive hunter that strikes down its prey with the powerful swipes of its claws. No one can bear the brunt of his tremendously fast and heavy blows."
What is Gladiator Beast Andal?
What is Ursarctic Radiation?
His name rhymes with his Machine counterpart, but he won't be protecting your cards from destruction. Instead, you will give up one card to send one card your opponent controls to the GY.
What is Ningirsu, the World Chalice Warrior?
Argh why did this card prevent my Polymerization from resolving? It doesn't say "negate" anywhere on it! Well, at least I can still XYZ Summon...
What is Dimensional Barrier?
This Quick-Play Spell actually sees some experimentation occasionally. If it did not explicitly need to remain on the field until resolution, it might actually be pretty good, but as it stands, it only serves to allow brand new players to live out one of the most iconic moments of the first episode of the anime.
What is Rage with Eyes of Blue?
"A powerful monster whose two heads attack as one."
What is Two-Headed King Rex?
One of the most polarizing Field Spell cards in the game. Drawing 3 cards on your opponent's turn will give you just the edge you need to wipe out the rest of their deck.
What is Runick Fountain?
This monster is a retrain one of the oldest and most unplayable anime bosses into an Extra Deck monster that actually can hold its own! And it's no secret why its effect is "thrice per turn".
What is Gate Guardians Combined?
I don't care if "cost" is somehow different from "effect", you can't just target "Ghost Meets Girl - A Masterful Mayakashi Shiranui Saga" in your Graveyard and then declare I can't summon for the rest of the turn! Where on this card does it say you don't need to Tribute a Mayakashi monster?
What is Transaction Rollback?
This card is a reference to one of the longest-standing Forbidden Cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!. Limiting the powerful floodgate effect to only the user of the card makes it utterly unplayable.
What is Cold Feet?
"An elf who learned to wield a sword, he baffles enemies with lightning-swift attacks."
What is Celtic Guardian?
This card sees a ton of play in Cyberse decks. Why bother making a powerful interrupt tool when you can just draw 2 cards for 2000 LP?
What is Decode Talker Heatsoul?
Possibly the biggest successful retrain in Yu-Gi-Oh! history. The original monster had no effects at all, but now it can double its Attack, search a card, AND it has an omni-negate. What a glow-up!
What is Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice?
Judge! My monster literally says it's unaffected by card effects! How did this Trap card banish it? All my other monsters are fine, they're just face-down!
What is Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon?
