These are the three reasons we chose to run a gym class for our final project for our students instead of a classroom-related activity.

1)Mostly every kid's favourite subject is phys. ed

2)Kids were more respectful and willing to listen and learn if they were going to be given an opportunity to run around, be physically active, and play with their friends if they were in the gym rather than in a classroom.

3)Many kids at our school live in apartments in the downtown area therefore it's hard for them to have green space to move around. Therefore they need to develop good habits regarding physical activity at an early age. This is why we chose to promote this specific health behaviour because by equipping them with ways to be physically active and teaching them how to sustain this habit, it offsets the fact that it's harder for these students to have access to physical activity given that they live in apartments in a downtown area where not many kids may have access to parks to roam around and be active or perhaps parents may not be able to afford sending their kids to after-school programs to be active.
