When we are on the rug, what are the three ways to sit?
crisscross, mountain, and mermaid.
When we finish an activity, what should we do?
Put the activity where it is said to go and then either
1. read a book
2.Write a story
3. draw a picture
What should we do after we have our desks set up?
Get morning work from morning work bin.
Should we be talking to the person next to us?
Absolutely NOT!
When I say "lock in" what do you do?
Drop what's in your hands (set it on your desk or the floor) and find me.
Is it responsible to talk and touch other people on the rug?
No keep your hands to yourself.
When we have a question about what we are told to do, who do you go to?
Ask 3 friends and then an adult.
Where can I find what page I am doing for morning work?
on the white board
If I am working with someone at the back table, what should you be doing?
1. Not talking to the person or at any other table
2. If you have a question ask 3 friends then me.
3. If I am testing, you wait until I am done!
When I say 5,4,3,2,1 what do we do?
We find the teacher and we are at a level zero.
When we line up, what should you be doing?
1. stand up quietly
2. push in your chair
3. walk to your line spots with your mouths at a zero and eyes forward.
If I don't know how to spell something What are some things I can do besides asking the teacher?
1. sound it out
2. look around the room.
3. look at the question or the passage it is in.
If we had homework the night before, where do we put it and what should be at the top of the page?
Homework bin and name at the top.
What is testing used for?
For your teacher to know what you need.
If we hear the teacher start counting up (1,2,3,4,5...), what does that mean?
That is the time we have to wait to go to recess.
If we are at our desks, where should our feet be and why?
on the floor and it is a safety hazard if we have to leave the room quickly it is faster.
When I am talking and giving directions, why should we not be talking?
We will be more confused and not know what we are doing. It will also distract other friends so they can hear what we are doing.
When we finish morning work, what do we do?
Is it respectful to talk and shout during testing?
No it is a distraction.
When we are in the hall and I say "Fix your feet" what does that mean?
You have your feet one full block from the wall and eyes are forward
How should we wash our hands and put chromebooks away?
In a line and quietly.
Washing hands only 3 pumps of the towels and 1 pump of soap.
Chromebooks find your number make sure I can see your name and plug it in.
When we are working on an activity by ourselves, with a partner or all together, how should that look and sound like?
1. By yourself: at a zero and not talking to the person next to you and doing your best work.
2. a partner: whispering/ normal level and working together to get the answers.
3. all together: at a zero unless hands are up and you are called on or I tell you all together we are not talking to anyone around us.
