Never, except for unique situations.

Have Notebook out and a sharpened pencil ready for class.

Tell Mrs. Walch. Do Not attempt to pick it up with your bare hands.

Raise her hand and wait to be called on. Or wait until an appropriate time to ask a neighbor.
August and Steve are running around the classroom and throwing paper airplanes. Why is horseplay and goofing off, like this, not a safe behavior in the lab?
Because you could cause harm to yourself, others, lab materials and if you are goofing off you are not paying attention.
Kayden was absent for 2 days. What should she do when coming back to class?
When would be the ONLY time a student should ever turn on the eye wash?
If they get a chemical in their eyes during a lab and need to rinse out their eyes right away. (playing with or turning on the eyewash at other times, may result in a referral)
Luke's pencil broke in the middle of taking notes! What should he do?
Get another pencil from pencil bag or quietly go get another pencil from the pink cup.
Alvona and Brianna are dissecting cow eyeballs. What safety equipment should they be wearing?
Apron, gloves and Safety glasses/goggles
Katelyn missed Monday and Tuesday. We took notes during class.. What can Katelyn do?
Get the notes sheet and borrow notes from a friend to make sure she has the information.

Christen and Nolen (and possibly others) are not listening to the directions and won't know what to do. Also, it is very disrespectful to talk while others are talking.
Kendall was dared by a classmate to drink one of the liquids included in a science lab. What should she do and why?
Kendall should absolutely NOT drink anything in our science lab because it could harm her and she will be making a phone call home about what happened. Kendall will also lose all lab privileges' until agreeing with parents and admin to the Safety Contract rules

What should you do before you leave the classroom EVERYDAY (2)?
Put your notebook in the bin or crate, make sure there is no trash or materials around your table. Check that you turned in classwork, push in your chair.
Ms. Walch asks you to complete an assignment using your chromebook. What are some things that you should NOT do?
Sit and do nothing, be playing video games instead, be on other unapproved sites (like Youtube) that have nothing to do with your assignment.
What if Ms. Walch puts you in a lab group with students other than your friends. What should you do?
Be Kind, helpful and work together. You are expected to do your best working with others.
