All devices, including cellphones, tablets, and smartwatches, must be turned in to the device bin upon arrival in the classroom.

Never, unless it is something supplied for a birthday celebration.

Lunch custodians
When do we use the bathroom?
During bathroom breaks, unless it is an absolute emergency.
Are you allowed to eat in the classroom?
Only when snack time is announced.
What does rotation time sound like?
Everyone is quietly working. All voices are off.
How should you enter the classroom after transitions?
In a quiet line and wait for directions.
What should we do with lunch items we don't want?
Bring it home so our parents know we didn't eat it or don't like it.
When should you be out of your seat?
- When heating lunch.
- Throwing away trash.
Who is responsible for messes in the bathroom?
The person who created it. Make sure to check if the bathroom is clean before using it.
What are you allowed to drink in the classroom?
Water. Only water.
What should you do if you finish work early.
Read independent book quietly or catch-up on incomplete work.
When should you be out of your seat?
When permitted, unless you have free time or are stepping out of the room to blow your nose.
Should we talk to our classmates like we are on the playground?
No. We should use our indoor voices or risk having a silent lunch.
What should you do if you create a spill/mess?
Grab paper towel/broom/mop to clean it up.
When is homework due?
At the end of the subject block or next day when you arrive to class.
Where would you find extra supplies in the classroom?
In our shoebox container or ask Mrs. Kari.
What should you do when Mrs. Kari is talking to the whole class?
Not talking while she is talking. Give her all my attention.
Where would you find our class schedule or agenda?
Usually on the whiteboard.
What do you do if you forgot to bring a plate, utensils, or napkin?
How should you line up in the cafeteria?
One after the other in a straight line, by number, against the wall by our tables.

1. Listen when the teacher or classmates are talking.
2. Treat each other with respect, even if you're not friends.
3. Respecting all materials and items in the classroom.
What should you do before you go home?
Sweep around and under our desk, and sanitize our desk with a disinfecting wipe.

Are you ever allowed to hit, kick, bully, or belittle anyone in our classroom?
No. Keep your hands, feet, and unkind words to yourself.
Where do you go if you need to use the bathroom during lunch?
To the bathrooms in the auditorium.
Should you bother Mrs. Kari with unnecessary conversation?
No, this is her lunch time too!
When can you sit in the library area or cushion area?
1. When you finish work early and are reading quietly.
2. When collaborating with partners.
