NO! Absolutely not!

How can you make sure you are listening to the teacher?
Look at them with my eyes and closed mouth.
What is a sign of respect when someone is talking or participating?
Silently listening and respecting other's opinion.
How do you ask to go to the restroom or get water?
Look to see that a pylon is available, make a W with your fingers or hands, and then wait for the teacher to acknowledge you.
If a teacher is teaching, you may not go until they are done.
This helps us successfully work in groups.
Cooperation and teamwork.
What should you be doing during O'Canada?
Silently standing where you are.
How do you show that you have an emergency?
Raise your hand quietly and let the teacher know it's an emergency!
If you finish early, you should do this instead of disturbing others.
Read, complete unfinished work, or draw.
When can you sharpen your pencil?
Any time before class or at the end of the day EXCEPT when someone is talking/presenting

Switch shoes.
Bring water bottle, pencil case, and folders inside
Read the message on the board and wait for O'Canada and announcements.

Prepared, respectful, honest, kind, organized, hardworking
Should we shout or talk out in class?
NO, we should raise our hand and wait to be acknowledged.
Are you allowed to touch random papers in the classroom?
NO. Always ask the teacher first.
What needs to be written in your notebook when starting a new entry?
The date and title.
What should you do if you are confused during independent work time?
Ask 3 friends and read the board before asking the teacher

What should you do if someone is bothering you?
Kindly ask them to stop and move away. If they continue tell the teacher.
What should you do if a classmate is talking or presenting?
Be quiet and listen to them, making sure not to rudely interrupt.
What should you do when you FIRST enter the classroom in the morning?
Greet my teacher, unpack and look at what is written on the board.
What should be returned to school daily?
Agenda and any folders you take home.
What are the consequences if I misbehave in class?
1. Teacher warning
2. No recess for a portion of time
3. Note or phone call to parent
4. Report to administrator
How can you be successful in class?
DO YOUR BEST! Have a growth mindset.
Name three ways to take care of classroom materials.
1. Use them correctly.
2. Return them.
3. Store them properly (ex. close tops on glue and markers).
4. Keep them clean.
