Laws affect social structures and hierarchy because they can enforce the social structures. For example, in the Hindu caste system, there is a law that they are unable to change their caste. Once they are "untouchable" they are looked down upon by society and unable to change their status.
WHAT IS THE PAX ROMANA AND WHAT IS ITS SIGNIFICANCE?
The words Pax Romana are Latin and mean "Roman Peace." At the time of the Pax Romana, Rome was an Autocracy NOT a Democracy. It was a time period in which Rome conquered many territories and expanded their empire and therefore Romans considered it a time of peace.
