A religion founded in India and spread all over the world. Buddhism is one of the world's largest religions. Buddhists do not believe in God(s). Buddhists believe that human life is one of suffering. They believe that meditation, spiritual and physical labor, and good behavior are the ways to achieve enlightenment or nirvana. There is no heaven or hell in this religion. Nirvana is the final goal. Nirvana is a time of no suffering.

Hunter-gatherers used stone and animal bones from the environment to create tools to make their lives more comfortable. Laws affect social structures and hierarchy because they can enforce the social structures. For example, in the Hindu caste system, there is a law that they are unable to change their caste. Once they are "untouchable" they are looked down upon by society and unable to change their status.

WHAT IS THE PAX ROMANA AND WHAT IS ITS SIGNIFICANCE?

The words Pax Romana are Latin and mean "Roman Peace." At the time of the Pax Romana, Rome was an Autocracy NOT a Democracy. It was a time period in which Rome conquered many territories and expanded their empire and therefore Romans considered it a time of peace. However, it was NOT peaceful for the people who were being conquered.
