Jesus Christ

What is the visible part that we use and the invisible part that we receive in the sacrament of confirmation?

What is the difference between repentance and confession?
Repentance means a changing of the mind, of thoughts, attitudes, and feelings. Repentance is not a momentary matter. It is a way of life. It is a progressive state.
Confession means that what a man has in his heart, he reveals to the representative of Christ, the Bishop or the Priest--whatever wrong he has done.
What’s the first prayer in the prayers of Baptism?
The priest sanctifies the water through the prayers and Bible readings and by pouring the Holy Oil of Mayron to give the water the power of the Holy Spirit

Abiding in Christ, eternal life, growth in Spirit and spiritual perfection, and salvation due to the remission of sins

What does renouncing Satan resemble?
Since baptism is dying and resurrecting with Christ, this renunciation resembles the act of victory over Satan … just like Christ did through His death
What is the sacrament of the Eucharist called and why?
The crown of the sacraments because this sacrament follows all of the other sacraments in the church such as Baptism, priest ordinations, and repentance and confession
Why is the Mystery of Priesthood called “the fountain of ministries”
Because without the Priesthood, no other mystery (sacrament) can be done. Any mystery administered without a priesthood rank is invalid.
Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit (Mention a verse or give an example from the Bible)
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
Give me an example or verse that refers: “The Holy Spirit was received by laying of hands.”
St. Paul's work in Ephesus is recounted in Acts 19.1-12
The Sorcerer’s Sin Acts 8: 14-18
Complete the verse: The book of Acts tells us that the Sacrament of Repentance and Confession was practiced during the days of the Apostles : “And many who had believed came, ______________ and telling their ____________” (Acts 19:18).
Confessing, deeds
The priest anoints the person with the Ghalilawen oil. What does that resemble?
The oil is made of the remnants of Mayron oil + Olive Oil. So it resembles that he person getting baptized is about to be a branch in Christ (The True Vine)
What is required to partake of Communion in a worthy manner?
Believe that communion is the true Body and Blood of Christ, baptism in the Coptic Orthodox faith, living a life of repentance (actively trying to change and working with the Holy Spirit)

“Let the elders [priests] who rule well be counted worthy of double honor” (1 Timothy 5:17)
“For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.” (Malachi 2:7)
What steps are taken to make the Holy Chrism?
First stage: preparation
The second stage: the consecration that has the prayers
What is one verse that proves Christ’s institution of the Sacrament of Repentance and Confession?
Our Lord Jesus Christ founded the Sacrament of Repentance and Confession when He said to His disciples, the pure apostles: “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth, will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18).
Also, after the Resurrection the Lord said : “‘As the Father sent me, I also send you.’ And when He said this He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any they are retained’” (John 20:21-23).
Mention a verse that proves that baptism is a lifestyle NOT one-time event.
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” Galatians 2:20
“For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” Galatians 3:27
Is repentance and confession alone enough for the remission of sins? Why or why not?
No because in the sacrament of confession & repentance we receive the absolution of sins, however, true forgiveness or remission of sins is not granted until one receives Communion. For it says in Ephesians “In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Ephesians 1:7)
How is it that each of us is a priest? Mention a supporting verse.
All the Christian believers are priests because they were all anointed with the Myron Oil and received the Holy Spirit
We are priests because we are required to offer spiritual sacrifices
Fasting, Prayers, Charity, Serving others, Praising, etc.
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Hebrews 13:15-16
This general priesthood is not to administer any of the Holy Mysteries (Sacraments)
When is the Holy Myron used?
Repentance and confession also took place in the Old Testament. Give one example or verse that shows that.
“If a person sins or touches any unclean thing ... or if a person swears ... he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing, and he shall bring his trespass offering to the Lord for his sin which he has sinned ..., so the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin” (Levi.5:1-6).
Hence, the sinner is obliged to confess all his
trespasses.
When David the King sinned and committed adultery and murder, the Lord sent Nathan to him.
David confessed “‘I have sinned against the Lord’, so Nathan said to David, ‘The Lord also has put away your sin, you shall not die’” (2 Samuel 12).
When David confessed to Nathan the prophet, he heard the declaration of putting away his sin and that he would not die the eternal death or perish because of it, but certain punishments were imposed on him, necessary for repentance.
Solomon said: “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13).
