-If the report is about a supervisor, contact the next level of management (Pastor, or if it is the pastor, the Clerk of Session or another Session member)
-Document the report but do not conduct an investigation
-Keep reporting until appropriate action is taken

Reason that youth-to-youth interactions like hazing, bullying, name-calling, games of Truth or Dare, singling out one child for different treatment, and humiliation are prohibited

While outside contact between leaders and youth puts volunteers, youth, and the church at increased risk, the church has decided it is unavoidable in a town like Reardan.
One-on-one contact (overnight, at home, etc.) between staff/volunteers and program youth is still prohibited.
Another group of people, beyond program leaders and participants, that is encouraged to report policy violations or suspected abuse. This group should be provided with information about how to report.

What are mandated reporting laws?
Note: This requirement applies whether the suspected abuse/neglect occurred on or off church property, and whether perpetrated by employees, volunteers, or others. Reports may be made confidentially or anonymously.
Clergy, employees, and volunteers are also required to report to church leadership.
