Vests reflect the light from forklifts, which helps forklift drivers to see all pedestrians.
(Vests offer higher visibility which leads to an overall safer environment.)
How should a pedestrian respond to an employee (on a forklift) with a suspended load?
If the employee with the suspended load is on the forklift, then the pedestrian should wait for the driver to lower his load to the ground, make eye contact with the pedestrian and then the pedestrian will be able to proceed walking towards their destination.
If an employee is seen getting off of a forklift with a suspended load, then that employee should be confronted immediately.
