What is a Potty Party?
When doing bathroom trips, counselors should take as many campers as possible. This limits bathroom trips and ensures that counselors are never alone with campers.
What is the purpose of an attention getter?
Attention getters are a "Group Control" method. These can be a call, chant, phrase, signal, etc. to alert campers to listen for important information.
What should you do with pictures that include campers?
Delete them! You should never be taking pictures of campers on your personal cell phone.
What is the difference between a face count and a head count?
Face count: Matching a name to a face and making eye contact with every camper
Head count: Number of campers must match the number on your roll sheet or at a particular activity

1. Recount and Face Count of your huddle
2. Check surrounding huddles, bathrooms, etc.
3. Enact EAP, if needed
Scenario: You are leading boating out of the lake. There are dark clouds in the distance and you see a flash of lightning. What should you do?
1. Calmly alert Leadership via walkies
2. Quickly get boats and campers back to the NEAREST land, then unload boats
3. Take head count, then lead campers to Dogwood shelter and await Leadership instructions
Scenario: You have campers using the bathroom when 2 adult hikers approach to use the restrooms. What do you say/do?
Tell them who you are, that there are campers using the bathroom, and politely ask if they can wait until your campers are done.
Scenario: A camper is refusing to participate in an activity and keeps trying to leave program area. How do you handle the camper?
1. Reiterate rules and that they need to stay in the boundaries
2. Encourage them to try something new and participate for at least 1 round or 10 minutes and then see how they feel
