March is ladder safety months. We know "Falls are 100% Preventable." Name a few ways to prevent falls with ladders.

- Check the ladder first before using it, to ensure it has no broken parts.

- Keep floors and surfaces clear of clutter 

- Use a ladder, only when necessary to grab an item and set it flat on the ground

- Return the ladder to the correct location immediately after use.

-Use three (3) points of contact, when going up and down the ladder [two (2) hands and one (1) foot; or (two (2) feet and one (1) hand on the rail] to ensure the three (3) points of contact.

- Don't lean or reach while on a ladder, and have someone support the bottom, if necessary.

-Ensure stepladders have a locking device to hold the front and back open 

- Never lean it against an unstable surface
