WHat are five types of disinfectant and state some facts about them.
1.Quaternary Ammonium Compounds or "Quats" - "Quats" are very safe and usefull, Quats must be left on surface for 10 mins. 2.Phenolics -These are powerfull tuberculocidal disinfectants, have a high ph and can cause damage to skin and eye and can be harmful to the enviroment, also can damage plastics and rubbers. 3.Alchohol -Two types, Ethyl & isopropyl, when mixed correctly they are both very powerful, must be mixed 70% or higher 4.Bleach -AKA sodium hypochlorite, and effective solution for all uses in a salon. Bleach is not required to be EPA-registerd using too much can damage some metals and plastics, make sure to read the lable 5.Fumagants -Not used anymore in salons, extreamly irritating to eyes,nose,throat,lungs and cause skin allergies.
