What is this person's main argument?

He dislikes how "serious" the band took this serious topic of equality and how they drive the song with the, "bright, peppy acoustic guitar".

200

What is this person's main argument for their side?

She loves the song and loves how the song is, "primed for the live show, perfect for sing-along moments at a concert. Upbeat and fun." She also brings up that Same Boat is mainly about the human experience and that we all have similar experiences while going through it.

Why did they use these techniques?

To give situations more detail and really help listeners understand the message they are trying to get across. One of the reasons they used repetition is because studies show that the repetition of a phrase can convince people that it's true. Another purpose is because our lives during this pandemic have just been repetition, during the main shutdown, we were all doing the same things day in and day out.

200

Where and when did this event occur?

The beginning of 2020, in Wuhan, China

What is a fun fact about ZBB?

Their number 1 hit, Chicken Fried, was actually released twice because the first time in 2003 didn't get any popularity, but when they released it again, it got huge praise.

300

What is my rebuttal to this argument?

Many of Zac Brown Band's songs are similar to this song: Upbeat, peppy, and happy vibes. So if this is how they've always made their songs and they are still popular then they should continue doing what they are doing because so many people love their music.

300

Why do I agree with this critic's view?

I agree with this critics view because this is how ZBB always makes their songs: happy, relaxing, and a foot tapper. They should continue to make music like this because it is getting across an important message but in a fun and enjoying way for everyone.

What is one of the quotes repeated in the song and why?

"Wondering where all the same time goes." This is significant because during these crazy times, we have all kind of lost track of time and now it is 2022 and we are in the same situation we were in back in 2020 even though the year 2020 seems like yesterday, it was really two whole years ago. We really are all wondering where all that same time went. That verse is repeated so many times because it really is true for billions of people around the entire globe.
300

What are some things that this has not let us be able to do?

Not being able to be with family or friends, most businesses such as gyms, restaurants, and grocery stores were closed, and we were all stuck in our homes most of the time.

What is one of the figurative language quotes and why was it used?

"Wishing on the same stars." This is trying to get the point across by saying that we are all hoping for the same thing. For this pandemic to be over and to go back to our normal lives, as they were before. The author did this because people often wish upon shooting stars for very different reasons in life but during this time, many people's wishes were the same. That is significant because billions of people normally don't have the same wish at the same time.
