In the boomer-shooter game ULTRAKILL which graphics are based on retro(old) games, P-1//soul survivor Minos Prime has choppy animations teleporting through most of his moves(attacks). This has been confirmed to be intentional but the game being based on old games is one of the reasons for this, what is the second reason this happens?
Minos Prime was heavily inspired on old fighting games which never really had smooth animations when moving from one attack to another attack making the character teleport to the starting pose of the second attack to save money and time when making the game. he is also a direct reference to another game's characters being Legion and Nuculais, respectively, from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.
(basically, Minos Prime is inspired off old fighting games)
