In basketball, the number of points you score is given by [3x + 2y + 1z] where [x] is three-pointers, [y] is two-pointers, and [z] is free throws (one-pointers). What is the total number of points scored by a player who makes 3 three-pointers, 5 two-pointers, and 6 free throws?

V = 1/3(∏)r^2h

The formula gives the volume V of a right circular cone with radius r and height h. What is the volume, in cubic meters, of a right circular cone with a radius of 4 meters and a height of 3 meters?

(Answer with pi separate, don't include it into your calculations, examples for answers would be 8∏, 6∏, 100∏, etc.)

Dimitri is helping to plan the school talent show. Each performer for the talent show has 6 minutes for his or her performance, which includes transition time between performances. If the introduction for the talent show is 24 minutes long and the entire show, including the introduction, will last 150 minutes, what is the most amount of performances that the show can accommodate?

(t + 8/3) (t + b) = 0

n the given equation, b is a constant. If -8/3 and 13/3 are solutions to the equation, then what is the value of b?

-13/3

To help understand this question, we're trying to find a way to make the equation true by finding b. The solutions to the equation are given as -8/3 and 13/3. The question wants us to use BOTH solutions in our equation, and the only way we get zero is if each parentheses equals 0. Note how t is the only variable seen twice and we also have two solutions. From there we see that the t on the left-hand side must be -8/3 for that group to equal 0. Afterwards you can place the other solution of 13/3 in the other t, and from there make it so that the group on the right-hand side parentheses equals 0, hence your answer -13/3. Im sorry for yapping, whoever gets this question right gets 300 points!

Bernard randomly selected 10% of St. Francis citizens and asked them about their favorite coffee shop. Of the citizens surveyed, 7 said that Energize was their favorite coffee shop. Based on the data, what is the most reasonable estimate of the number of St. Francis citizens whose favorite coffee shop is Energize?

I honestly don't understand the whole radians thing. All I know is that the ratio between the sector's central angle 0 (symbol for central angle, not #0) and 2 pi radians is equal to the ratio between the sector's area and the whole circle's area, 100∏. Go to the next slide for a full explanation.

The greatest property taxes are 4.5%, and for every 10 miles from the school, property taxes decrease by 0.5 percentage points. If a house's property taxes are 3%, what is the distance of that house from the school?

A circle in the xy-plane has a diameter with endpoints at (0,3) and (-4,0). What is the equation of the circle?

(Remember, the formula for a circle with a center at (h,k) and a radius of r is (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

(x + 2)^2 + (y - 3/2)^2 = 25/4
