Vape aerosol contains very tiny particles, including tiny bits  of metals and cancer-causing chemicals, that can go deep  into the lungs.

• Many people cough more and have sore throats when they  start vaping.

• Propylene glycol, a chemical used in many vape devices, can  cause a sore throat, headaches and dizziness in the short  term, and breathing problems with long-term exposure.

• People who are exposed to secondhand vape aerosol inhale  some of the same tiny particles and nicotine as the person  who is vaping.

• Secondhand vape aerosol can contain formaldehyde,  acetone and heavy metals.

• Nearly all vape products contain nicotine, even those labeled  nicotine free.

• Nicotine use through vaping can make a young person more  likely to get addicted to tobacco and other drugs. Once the  brain starts to crave nicotine, a person doesn’t feel normal  without it.

• Nicotine can cause problems with learning, memory and  attention.

• Most people don’t realize how much nicotine is in a vape.  One pod of JUUL vaping liquid has as much nicotine as a  pack or two of cigarettes.
