This document, found on the NJCCIS homepage, is not sufficient in documenting a member's previous education for the scholarship application.
What is a high school waiver?
This status occurs after a reviewer notices something is missing from the application. The member will have 14 days to send us what is required or it will be denied.
What is "Not Enough Info?"
This scholarship is our most popular scholarship. It is for those at the very beginning of their journey in receiving the Child Development Associate.
What is CDA Training?
This is the maximum amount given for book stipends per scholarship round.
What is $175?
For scholarships only, this is not needed to accept Foreign Diplomas.
What is the World Education Services (WES) evaluation?
This 7-digit number (starting with a 2 or 3) is needed for CDA Assessment scholarships.
What is the member's CDA Council ID?
This status refers to when it has been reviewed by the first reviewer and all the documents are there. It will likely get approved the following week. Although it is rare, even though a scholarship may reach this status, it may still get denied.

This is the maximum amount given per scholarship round for College and College P-3 scholarships.

These events are required courses but are the only ones we cannot add the course codes for.

Especially important with College and College P-3 applications, this document is needed to show what the member is enrolled in.
What is the Course Schedule?
P-3s (Preschool-Grade 3 Teaching Certificate) are the only programs/majors we cover for this level of degree.
What is a Graduate Degree?
For this reimbursement scholarship, one must show their receipts for what they have purchased regarding a particular learning material. It must be used in conjunction with a previously-awarded scholarship. These learning materials are notoriously expensive, especially for college classes.
What is the book-stipend scholarship?
Although the scholarship is in approved status, this is needed (directly from the school), before payment can be made for college and College P-3 applications.
What is the final invoice?
If a member needs to retake this 2-hour course, they must create a second account with a different email on Teachable.
What is "Mandated Reporting in Early Care and Education" from Prevent Child Abuse?
This document is needed for the Merit, CDA Renewal, and Book Stipend Scholarship. It must be uploaded into the application or sent through an encrypted email.
What is a W9?
Unlike grant payments, this payment method is the only way payment is distributed for scholarships (and GNJK Incentives).
What are check payments?
This reimbursement scholarship is for those whose CDAs are going expire. This scholarship is worth $125 if the member paid online or $150 if the member paid with a check. Receipt is required.
What is the CDA Renewal scholarship?
This voucher code is needed to pay for the CDA Assessment fee but will not work until Shauna adds this voucher to their Council account.

Originally taught by itself, this 2-hour course became included in the 8-Hour Health and Safety course given by GNJK and later was also included in the 10-Hour Health and Safety course on LMS.
What is Foundations of Child Development?
This piece of documentation, provided by the NJ Department of Education, is only needed for the P-3 scholarship applications.
What is "Certificate of Eligibility?"
These 2 position titles, who often refers to those caring for infants in an infant room, are technically not considered eligible positions. However, if the director feels that "teacher" or "assistant teacher" describes the work they are doing, they are free to update the position title and the member would be eligible.
What are "Caregiver" and "Assistant Caregiver?"
This scholarship is, sadly, our rarest scholarship. It is given as a reward as a job well-done and is worth $500.
