What do you do when you get in class?
You get out your learning materials, hang your backpack in your cubby, then eat your breakfast.
When you come to school late like after 8:00, what do you do?
Grab breakfast from the cafeteria, eat it quickly and get right on task.
How do you get your group to work together?
By taking turns talking and sharing. Eyes on the speaker.
What do you do to help others become a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
When the whistle blows during recess, what do you do?
Freeze! Look at the whistle blower immediately.
Where should 3rd grade students play during recess?
Only in the rubber play area.
How many people is considered a group?
2 or more people.
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can you use the bathroom?
Before school, during lunch or recess. But you can also go if you have a real emergency.
What happens if you bicker or fight in recess?
You might get wall detention and or lose your outside recess time.
How do you eat lunch properly?
Stay in your seat after you get your lunch. Gather all of your trash before going to the trash can.
How should group members communicate while working together?
Speak in a normal voice and use accountable talk stems.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
Before school, during recess time or afterschool. You can also trade your pencil for another.
What do you do if you need to use the bathroom during recess?
Ask an adult for permission.
How do students get a dean call?
By fighting, harassing others, threatening others, and disobeying the teacher.
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How do students line up?
When our area is neat and clean. We walk calmly and safely when the teacher say's it's ok.
How should you walk to the cafeteria?
You should walk quietly because the hallway is the quiet zone.
When can you go out of the class?
You can't unless your teacher sends you with a note or a hall pass.
How can we prove to our group that our answers are correct?
Tell them which page and paragraph we highlighted the answer in.
