What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are called on.
What do you do when you get in class?
You enter and sit down quietly then read the board for instructions
When should you be able to leave the room?
Whenever Miss Nielsen's is not giving direct instruction, and she deems it fit.
When you come to class late, what should you do?
Knock on the door, come in quietly, and take a seat. When Miss Nielsen is done talking, you can ask about what you missed.
When can you talk to your neighbors?
When Miss Nielsen is not giving instruction ans has allowed you to speak.
What do you do to help others be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You can raise your hand when Miss Nielsen calls for questions, or raise your hand after asking people at your table.
When Miss Nielsen asks you to do something, what should you do?
You should do it. No questions.
What should you have with you every day?
Your ID card.
How many times should Miss Nielsen have to use her attention getters?
Once.
How do students respect other students' properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
During passing period and 10 minutes after the bell rings until 10 minutes before the bell rings.
What happens when you reach 3 strikes?
You receive a morning detention and must attend or it will become an office referral.
Name one dress code rule.
No holes in jeans. No hoods. No short shorts or dresses. No hats. No bandanas.
Can you be out of your seat when Miss Nielsen is giving instruction?
No.
What kind of food and drinkncan students have in class?
Water and nothing else
When can I sharpen my pencil?
At the appropriate time you can raise your hand to ask to sharpen your pencil.
What do you do when Miss Nielsen calls for your attention?
You stop talking and make sure your neighbors are quiet also.
How do students get a Way-to-Go?
By doing their work, being respectful, being quiet, and following instructions.
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, listening to your teacher, and using appropriate language and gestures at all times.
How are we dismissed from class?
We must be seated and silent in order to be dismissed.
How should you behave in the classroom?
You should be kind, polite, and studious.
When can you use your phone?
When a teacher or administrator allows you to.
What kind of noise level should we be at when working on assignments?
Between 0 and 2. If Miss Nielsen can hear your conversation from across the room, you are too loud.
