What do I do if I miss "bell work time"?

Do the missing days work when you return.  If you need more time, take it with you to complete and return.  It is NOT ok to write, "absent", "TAG", "speech", etc on the FRONT of bell work.  You may write these things on the back for missing reflections.

You need to go to the office to get a late slip.

Materials are readily available in the classroom.  Please return what you borrow in the same manner it was found. (or even better)

What do I do if I do not finish an assignment in class that is due that day?

Do it at home, THAT EVENING, and turn it in via google classroom or to the basket at the beginning of the NEXT class period.

Never.  Unless you need to throw up, then leave as quick as possible.

What should I do if I to get make up work from an absence?

First, check Google Classroom for any assignments from that day.  Then, speak to Mrs. West about any physical assignments that need to be done.  It is YOUR responsibility to complete and turn in make up work.

What should be done during passing period?

Change materials for your next class and use the restroom if needed.

What do I do if my group is not "working" for me?

First, try to respectfully work out your differences.  If you cannot get past the issues, you can speak to me about working alone instead of in the group.

When can I visit the nurse?

When you are truly SICK. I have band-aids, mints, and we have access to water and the restroom.  These things will fix most of your issues.

When can I sharpen my pencil?

Before class and after instructions/lesson presentation.

How long do I have to make up work from being absent?  How long do I have to finish work before it will not be accepted?

You have the number of days you were absent plus one day to do make up work.  So, if you were absent two days, you have three days to get your work done.  No work will be accepted if it is more than 2 weeks past the due date.  This work will receive a 0.  So if you don't finish an assignment completely, turn in what you have!

By continuing to be disruptive, disrespectful, or refusing to complete assignments.

They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.

How often should I check my grades?  What do I do if I have a question about a grade?

You should check your grades once a week.  Email me OR write down your question on a piece of paper with details about the assignment.  Give the paper to me so that I can check on it for you.

When do I complete a midday meeting?

THAT day, at recess.  Be sure you have spoken to the teacher to let them know if you have first or second recess.  If you get to the room for your midday and I am not here, wait outside of the room.
