What do you if you have something to share in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you get in class?
You hang up backpack on your chair, get out your homework and write in your journal.
How do you use the slide?
Go down the slide only! One at a time. Do not climb up the slide.
When is your homework due?
Friday
What should it sound like during stations?
Quiet. Students might be typing or turning the pages of a book.
How can you show the teacher you are listening?
Voices off, eyes on her!
How do you ask for help in class?
Raise your hand quietly and wait.
When the bell ring during recess what do you do?
You must freeze.
What should you do if you do not understand the directions?
Ask three people before the teacher. If you still do not know, ask the teacher.
Working with a group or walking around helping students.
How do students respect our classroom supplies?
By asking to borrow supplies / Putting them away when you're finished / Picking them up off the ground
When is a good time to use the restroom?
Before school, during recess, during bathroom breaks. In between work / stations
What areas should we stay away from outside?
Down the hill. The bottom playground - unless given permission. The parking lot. Outside of the fences.
Who is responsible for getting your homework turned in on time?
YOU ARE!
When is it okay to interrupt the teacher when she is working with a group?
NEVER! Unless there is an emergency: someone is bleeding, getting sick, your laptop is not working and you can't learn, or there is danger!
What are the first four things you should do once you are in the classroom?
Unpack, check your green folder for notes / put it in your mailbox, make your lunch choice, and grab your morning work!
What are the things you do to get ready for dismissal?
Get your bookbag, check your mail, take care of your supplies / dull pencils, go to the carpet when you're packed up.
How do you use the swings?
Swing on your bottom. Swinging straight forward - not twisting. We don't jump off the swing.
When are book reports due?
On the last day of the month
How can you figure out what to do if you're unsure and the teacher is in a group?
Make a list of good times and bad times to go to the bathroom.
Good times: In the morning, before specials, bathroom break, before lunch, recess, or in between subjects.
Bad times: When we are on the carpet, when we are working on something, in the middle of a lesson, when you are at stations.
What are the best things to do when walking in the hallway?
Hands to your side, facing forward, voices off, one behind the other, walking at all times.
What can you do to solve a problem at recess?
Use your words. Compromise. Pick something else to play. Walk away. Get the teacher.

YES
