What do you do when you want to talk in class?

You raise your hand and quietly wait for the teacher to call on you.

You hang up backpack on your chair, put your homework folder in the back bucket, check your pencil box and get your pencils for the day and put your badge on for the day. Then wait for your row/table to be called for breakfast.

You walk in a quiet and straight line.

You need to go to the office to get a late slip.

By taking turns talking and sharing.

You ask your partner or group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand, then quietly wait for the teacher to answer your question.

By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.

When can I use the bathroom?

Before school, lunch recess, or if you are finished with your work. If it is an emergency you may use the restroom if the teacher is not teaching.

What happens to you when you get water or go to the restroom after the whistle is blown the second time?

You might get wall detention, lunch detention the next day or clip down on the clip chart.

How do you get to think time?

You will be sent to think time if you disrespect your teachers, others and are not following rules to think about what you have done wrong.

What kind of food can students have in class?

Water only, which goes by the sink.

If you bring a snack or lunch, it goes in the blue bucket by the door. If you are found with it during the day it will go in the trash or in the teacher's bucket until the end of the day.

When can I sharpen my pencil?

You may not sharpen your pencil. You may trade your pencil first thing in the morning when you get to school. If all 3 of your pencils break throughout the day, you may trade them if the teacher is not teaching.

What do you do when the lunch duty person blows the whistle?

You will quietly to your line and line up in number order.

By showing that they know the classroom rules, helping other students in class and following directions the first time they are given.

They are sharing, helping, using materials correctly, encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
