What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you get in class?
Sit in your desk quietly and start morning work.
What happens after if I continually disrupt classroom instruction or work time?
Warning, phone call home.
What can you do when you finish your work early?
What do you do to help others be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
Raise your hand without talking out and wait for an adult to help you out.
What do students do with their belongings?
All of your belongings should be placed on the back of your chair.
When do you know that class is over?
Announcements and bus dismissal.
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
Request with a quiet hand and show teacher/adult in room to ask for permission.
Where do students sit in the classroom?
In their assigned seat
What do you do if you want to play a game that someone else is playing?
Ask to join or wait until they are finished.
When can students eat food in class?
During snack time.
What do you do if you need to sharpen your pencil?
Ask for adult to sharpen or for a new pencil.
If you are absent what do you do when you return to school?
When you return, place all papers on your desk in your folder.
What does a good classroom discussion look like?
Everyone is participating. Not shouting or interrupting others. Having respect for everyone's ideas. Raise your hand to participate.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures. Do not tease, make fun of or use unkind statements.
What do students do in case of a fire drill?
Line up quietly at the door and wait for instructions.
When can you go out of the class?
You can't unless an adult gives you permission.
What are the consequences of saying or using the word "stupid or shut up?"
A warning.
