Respect is when you treat someone the way you want to be treated.

You ask your partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.

You must line up right away with your class.

When we are working in small groups, what is my job as a student?

When we are working in small groups, your job is to: 

1. complete all of your work

2. work quietly

3. be respectful of others' learning

4. get started on your work right away

5. When the chime rings, rotate to your new station immediately and silently and get started on your new work right away.

How do students respect other students properties?

By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.

When can I use the bathroom?

Before school, during recess, and lunch recess. But you can also go if you ask the teacher really nicely and it's an emergency.

You might have to sit at the wall or lose your recess time.

By showing RESCUE standards and following the classroom rules - do your work, listen to the teacher, follow directions right away.

What is cooperation?

Working well with others and not arguing. Using kind words to build others up and never using mean words. Unkind words will not be allowed, we only use kind words in this room.

How can you respect others?

By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.

What do we do when we get ready to leave group?

Sit silently at your spot, and wait to be called on. When you are dismissed, put all your belongings away and line up at the blue wall.

How do you behave in the hallways (coming in from recess, going to recess, or whenever you are in the halls)?

You are silent, walking appropriately, and keeping your hands to yourself.

What is the consequence if you don't do your work or are not behaving like an Eisenhower Eagle should?

1. You will be given a non-verbal reminder (like the stop sign)

2. If you do not follow directions, then you will be given a verbal reminder

3. If you do not follow directions, then you will be asked to go to the thinking spot and fill out the think sheet

4. If you do not follow directions, then you will lose a privilege and make up the work you missed during lunch or recess time. Your parents will also be contacted and you may lose trust or other special classroom privileges.

What does it mean that it begins with you and that we all affect everyone?

You are responsible for your own behavior. Your behavior also affects how others feel and treat you. If you are following the rules and being kind, others will be kind to you.
