By raising you hand quietly until you are called on.
What do you do when you get in class?
Sit at your desk quietly, open your book to the homework and be prepared to review.

What can you do when you finish independent work early?

•Read quietly
• Complete any unit pages you missed.
•Start working on your homework.
Respect others' work time and space.
What do you do to help another be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask your partner and group in ENGLISH. If you still can't get the answer, raise your hand quietly and wait.
What do students do with their belongings?
All of your belongings should be placed under your desk or under the table
When do you know that class is over?
When the teacher dismisses you
How do students respect other students' properties?
By not touching them or destroying them.
Ask to use it first before taking anything.
Return it in the same condition you received it?
When can you use the bathroom?
When given permission, and one at a time. Never during instruction or the first/last 10 minutes of class.
Where do students sit in the classroom?
Students sit in their assigned chair only.

None, water only.

When you get home.

Ask for your late work the day you return to school.
What does a great classroom discussion look like?
Everyone is participating - Not shouting or interrupting others. Having respect for everyone's ideas.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
What do students do at the end of class?
Complete the exit ticket and show the teacher.
Make sure your area is tidy and that you've collected all your supplies.
Wait quietly until everyone has finished, or until you're dismissed.
When can you go out of the class?
You can't unless your teacher sends you with a note or a hall pass.
How do we use classroom technology?
Treat it with care and use it appropriately - only for class assignments.
