What do you do when you get in class?
You hang up backpack on your chair, hand in your homework and/or folder, check to make sure you have, and follow the instructions on the board.
What do you do if you come to school late
Enter the room quietly and whisper to a classmate to ask what you may have missed.
How do you show SPOT behavior in the hallway?
Walk in the hallway
Feet on the floor
Hands are to ourselves
Walk on the right
Face forward
Hands to your side
All eyes forward
Lips zipped
Line straight
Slow speed when walking
What do you do to help others be better students?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs! Show SPOT behavior and be good example.
How do you ask for help in class?
Raise your hand quietly and wait for instructions.
What do you do if your pencil breaks and you need a new one?
Show the "pencil" sign, which is a fist with the thumb out.
When we leave specials what do we all say? What voice level do you use?
We use speaker (level 3) voice to say "Thank you" and don't talk after that.
What do we do if we need a drink of water?
Show three fingers in the air to show you need a drink.
What do you do if you have to use the bathroom?
Think about whether or not it is a good time to go. Check to see if the boy or girl cone or cup is on someone's table. Show the teacher the correct bathroom sign (crossed fingers). Sign out. Quickly and quietly walk to the bathroom so that you do not distract classmates. Sign in when you return.
How do we treat our books in the library?
Like we love them! We take good care of our books and make sure they are safe. Put them back where they belong when we are done using them.
When we are outside and there is snow on the ground, what type of shoes should you have on if you want to play on the playground?
Boots!
What do we do if we need a tissue?
Hold up one finger to show you need a tissue.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
Never. Only the pencil sharpener may sharpen pencils at the end of the day.

What are some ways we can be safe on the playground?
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, showing empathy and respect, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How do students line up?
I push in my chair when my teacher allows me to line up. I line up in my correct spot in line order. I show HALL behavior so I'm ready for the hall.
How do we dismiss using SPOT behavior?
Be in "HALLs" when in line, walk outside quietly with bags packed and closed, stay with teacher until you show that your parent/guardian is there, be sure to say goodbye to your teacher, stay with parent once you leave your class, walk on sidewalks and follow crossing guard's instructions if you must cross the street.
How should you behave in the cafeteria?
Voice level should be 0-2, walk holding trays of food firmly, say thank you to the lunch staff, do not take more food than you will be able to finish, focus on your food and not talking so much.
