At what voice level should you be using in the hallway?
Zero voice level. No talking in the hallway! It distracts those that are trying to focus and learn!
Once you have made your lunch choice in the morning, are you allowed to switch your choice at lunchtime?
No! It takes away from the students that actually made their correct choice!

What side of the hallway should you walk on? What if you are walking with your class or multiple students?
You should walk on the right side. You should always be in a single-file line if you are walking with a group.
Are you allowed to play contact sports (tag, tackle football, etc.) at recess?
No! You are not allowed to ever put your hands on another student even if it is part of a game. This is how people get hurt!
Are you allowed to use cell phones, iPads, Apple Watches, handheld games, etc. during the time you are here at Manchester School?
No! You may of course use a watch for time, but that is it! Devices need to be turned off and kept in your bags at all time!
If you need help (confused by instructions, don't know what you're doing, don't understand a topic/assignment, etc.), what should you do?
If you cannot be respectful, you will asked to leave the room to work or take a break. Who are the "Go" teachers?

What happens if you see a student acting or speaking inappropriately while in the hallway or bathroom?
Report it to an adult.
What should you do when you are done eating lunch?
Clean up after yourself, throw away your trash at the appropriate time, quietly chat with your friends until you are dismissed.
What should you do EVERY night no matter if your computer is left at school or taken home for academic purposes?
Charge your laptop!!
What should you do to make sure you know what your homework assignment is each night?
You will be doing a LOT of group work and projects in this classroom! What are TWO rules for when you're collaborating with others.
Examples:
- Be kind and respectful
- Listen to others and hear their thoughts/ideas
- Don't talk over one another
- Participate!
How many people are allowed to go to the bathroom at the same time?
Typically, two students may sign out to the bathroom at the same time, but you must always ask a teacher first! As 5th graders, we use the back bathrooms between the 4th and 5th grade halls.
What happens when the noon monitors blow the whistle while you are outside?
You quickly and calmly line up to go in for lunch.
Should you bring your computer home if you have no homework?
No! Laptops should only be brought home IF you have homework. They are for educational purposes only! No games, music, YouTube, etc.
What kind of work should you always complete and pass in?
QUALITY WORK! Neat, organized, proper punctuation, proper capitalization, colored neatly, followed ALL the directions, etc.
Name TWO things you can do if you are having conflict with a classmate.
- Ask a teacher to support you
- Request a circle to problem solve
- Try to have a respectful conversation

Hallway - You go into the nearest classroom!
Bathroom - Lock the door, stand on the toilet and wait silently.

What happens if you use your computer inappropriately? Ex. playing games, emailing, sharing documents, etc.
You will be written up and your laptop will be taken for at least one day! This will make your job (and mine!) very challenging!

- Go the bathroom/get a drink (sign out!

- Have the materials for you first class at your seat and ready to go!
