When can you wear spirit wear?
You can wear spirit wear any day of the week as long as it is clean and neat. P.E. clothes do not count as spirit wear.

What time does school start?
School starts at 8:00, and you should be in your class at this time. Teachers will use the first few minutes to take attendance and then start the lesson or head to the all-school assembly.

What are the rules for using your cell phone during the school day?
Cell phones are not for use during the school day. Please keep your phone in your backpack or locker rather than in your pocket. If you need to call your parent during school, you may ask a teacher if you can step into their classroom to call home.

What is the homework policy for the middleschool?
The homework policy is: on time = full credit, late is down a grade per day, excused absence is same number of days absent is the same number of days to complete the work.

What are marks and how do you get them?
Marks refer to a discipline consequence and they result in campus clean-up or service which is decided by Mr. Gartrell. When a student receives marks, the teacher turns them in to Mr. Gartrell, and then he takes over from there. Generally, one mark is ten minutes of campus clean-up or work. For “minor” offenses, students receive marks. For major offenses, students are involved in a Disciplinary Committee, and the Head of School decides the consequences.

What is a DC or a DAC?
These stand for Disciplinary Committee or Disciplinary Action Committee. When a student has committed a major discipline offense, a council of staff members meet to interview and hear about the disciplinary infraction. Each member of the committee then makes recommendations to the Head of School, and the Head decides the final consequence for the student.
