False. This is the teacher's role. The social worker may consult with teaching staff so they can consider how social emotional needs are impacting learning.

* Pull out sessions are often used to build initial rapport.
* Pull out sessions provide the opportunity for direct teaching of specific skills.
* The social work office is a safe place for students to talk about thoughts/feelings they may want to keep private
What is the difference between integrated and direct services?
Direct services are designated on the IEP/DPG and are for a specific amount of minutes a week.
Integrated services are not driven by IEP/DPG goals. They are push in services designed to support all the students' engagement and regulation in the classroom. Integration services are specific to KTS programs.

False. We can support the students' social emotional needs in small groups and provide consultation with the TA/Teacher, but do not lead small academic groups.

If a student makes a statement about hurting themselves, you should write a behavioral referral first and then contact Ms. Connerton or Dr. Aberra.
False. You should immediately contact the Senior Social Worker (don't wait until the end of class or day). If they are not available, then contact Ms. Connerton or Dr. Aberra. Your response to the student should simply be, "I'm going to get someone for you to talk to now."
Why are social workers always changing their schedued meeting times with students?
