Before school, recess, and lunch time. If you must go during the class period, please wait until the independent work period has started. Use the SmartPass system. You donʻt need to ask.

Nope. Due to the negligence of your peers- Henceforth, gum shall be banned in this space.

How do you enter the classroom and begin your day?

Get your planner out and write down the agenda and/or learning objective. Wait for the TA to initial your planner before putting it away.

Can we eat in class?

Yes. However, this is a privilege. If Mrs. Kellogg notices trash being left behind, she will ban all food items in the classroom.

What should I do if Iʻm feeling overwhelmed/frustrated?

Quietly move to the "woods" and use one of the tools in the bins to recenter your focus

Quietly let the teacher know that you need a pass to see the counselor.

Quickly and quietly pack our backpacks, clean the area around your desk, and place chairs on the desks.

How does plain vanilla work?

1- Students write questions

2- Students vote on the highest level question. Each student gets two votes and can place them anywhere they want.

3- Students (and teacher) write an answer to the winning question and the author of that question begins the discussion.

What should I do if I have questions about classwork or homework?

See Mrs. Kellogg during recess, lunch, or afterschool. If I cannot meet with her during those times, I will send an email during her office hours (7:55 am- 2:55 pm).
