Start and Stop Codons.

400

What enzyme creates mRNA?

RNA polymerase

500

What is the 2 main parts of protein synthesis?

Translation and Transcription.

500

What does transcribe mean in terms of Protein Synthesis?

It makes a copy of the DNA.

500

What mRNA is created from the DNA codon ATG?

UAC

500

What does Translation mean in terms of protein synthesis?

To go from mRNA to protein.

500

Explain the steps of protein synthesis from start to finish.

The DNA gets unzipped by a RNA polymerase. Then you make a copy with nucleotides to the unzipped DNA. Then with the mRNA strand you add the other half of the strand back with tRNA. Then when you get to the end codon you long strand of protein left.
