*You need to have your periodic table for this one*

What information can NOT be found in a periodic table about an element:

A. Name and symbol of the element.

B. Family and number of valence electrons of element.

C. Compounds the element can make

D. Number of orbitals of the element.

A (normal) periodic table does not include the compounds the element can make, so the answer is:

C. Compound the element can make.

*Really Hard*

Jonathan made strawberry juice made with pulp, he knows that the juice is an heterogenous type of mixture, but he doesn't know if it is a suspension or colloid, which one is it?

*Answer if strawberry juice with pulp is a colloid or suspension*

The strawberry juice made with pulp would be an heterogenous, suspension type of mixture, this is because a suspension is a mixture that contains particles that are large enough that they settle over time.

*It is a heterogenous suspension type of mixture*

*You need to have your periodic table for this one*

Which element has the biggest atomic number: Boron, Oxygen or Hydrogen?

Oxygen has a biggest atomic number, being of 8.

400

True or false: a compound is two or more ELEMENTS chemically combined that can ONLY be chemically broken down.

This statement is TRUE

400

What are 2 signs that show us that a chemical reaction is happening?

Example Answer: 2 Signs that a chemical reaction is happening are fizzling and heating or cooling (exothermic and endothermic reactions).

400

True or false: an alloy is a mixture of a chemical element(s) where the primary component is a metal.

The answer is true; an alloy Is a mixture of chemical elements where the primary component Is metal.

Ex: Bronze: 78-95% copper to 5-22% tin.

500

500

Which one of this is a compound: H2O+CO2, a juice made with pulp, NaCl (table salt) or milk?

The NaCl (table salt) is the compound.

500

*REALLY HARD: 600 points for this one*

Miss Ana and Miss Priscila are making an experiment to see what happens when Zinc and hydrochloric acid are combined in a test tube, The starting weight of the mixture is 20 grams (Counting the zinc and hydrochloric acid together) but then when the reaction starts happening and the test tube heats, bubbles form and then the mixture´s weight goes down by 10 grams, at last the mixture ends up in 10 grams of total of weight, can you explain to Miss Ana and Miss Priscila why this occurred?

Example Answer: The 10 grams of weight didn't disappear but evaporated when the chemical reaction started happening, I know this was a chemical reaction because of the heat and fizzling produced so the missing 10 grams probably evaporated when the reaction happened.

500

Is milk an heterogenous or homogenous type of mixture?

The milk is an heterogenous type of mixture, being a colloid.
