-Cost

- Appearance

- Environment

- Energy Efficiency

What are the 4 basic needs that every organism needs to survive?

- Food

-Water

- Shelter

- Air

What are are 2 problems humans have encountered in using energy from heat?

1. Burning themselves

2. Burning down their homes.

What are the 4 internal forces? And describe them.

- Tension Force: stretch a material by pulling its ends apart.

- Compression Force: crush a material by squeezing i together.

- Shear Force: bend or tear a material by pressing different parts in opposite directions at the same time.

- Torsion Force: twist a material by turning the ends in opposite directions.

What does sustainability mean?

Sustainability means resources of nature are being renewed at least as quickly as they are being used.

What are the 3 points of the particle model of matter?

-  The particles are always in motion.

- The particles are too small to be seen by humans.

- There is space between the particles.

How many planets are in the solar system?

8 planets.

What does the centre of gravity describe about an object.

The centre of gravity describes an objects weight.

What is your ecological footprint? And how do you reduce it?

Your Ecological Footprint is a calculation of the total area of land and water needed to supply all of the materials and energy a human uses, as well as absorb the waste produced. To reduce this you need to watch what you buy, try not to buy a lot of things with rappers and what not. To reduce this basically just don't pollute.

IS energy a substance? What is the law of conservation energy.

Energy is not a substance. The law of Conservation of Energy states that : Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transformed from one type to another or passed from on object to another.

How many stages of the moon are there? And what are they?

There are 8 stages of the moon, they are, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, Waning Crescent, New Moon, Waxing Crescent.

How are mass and weight different? Give an example of an object in space and on earth to describe the difference.

The mass of an object is the measure of the amount of matter in it. The weight is the force of gravity exerted on a mass. If an elephant were in space and an elephant were on earth the WEIGHT of the elephant would be lighter because there is no gravity in space in space but the MASS would be the same as the one on earth.

What is the difference between a manufactured structure and a natural structure?

A manufactured structure is a structure made by man and a natural structure is made by the earth.
