We live here, weather occurs here, lowest layer of the atmosphere, keep in oxygen, and the temperature goes up as elevation goes up.
Troposphere
What warms the surface of earth and the air above it?
Sun
It protects us from the Sun's harmful UV rays, has the ozone layer, and the temp. goes up as the elevation goes up.
Stratosphere
Where is the earth warmed the most and the least?
Shooting stars, protects earth from meteors and other space debris/objects, and the temp. goes down as elevation goes up.
Mesophere
Absorbs the Sun's heat, O2 and nitrogen react with solar winds to produce the northern lights, where i.s.s is, and the temp. goes up as you climb in elevation
