I eat everyone from the energy pyramid. Who am I?

I am a decomposer

What is the process of a liquid converting to a solid?

freezing point

100

List two types of matter that are insulator.

glass, plastic, wood, rubber

What is the hottest planet in our solar system and why?

Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system because it has 96% CO2 in the atmosphere.

In terrestrial ecosystems what provides the energy from everyone?

the sun

State 2 phase changes that occur in the water cycle. You must say where in the water cycle they occur.

State the pH range for acids, bases and neutral substances.
The pH range for acids is 0-6, neutral is 7 and bases are from 8-14.

Starting from the layer in which we live, state the layers of the atmosphere in order.

troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, exosphere

I eat photoautotrophs but also like eating heterotrophs. Who am I?

Omnivore

300

When you have a cup with ice what is the process that makes water appear on the cup? Also, why does it appear on the cup?

The process is condensation. It happens because the cold ice turns the water vapor in the atmosphere into liquid.
300

What is the most conductive type of matter and why is it conductive?

Metals are the most conductive because they have free flowing electrons.

300

In descending order list the planets according to gravity. I will be the judge if the order is correct.

Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Earth, Mars, Mercury

In nature I have undergone deposition, then sublimation and finally condensation. State each phase change and what am I at the end?

gas to solid then solid to gas then gas to liquid

You are a cloud.

400

I have a substance in which 10 milliliters weighs 20 grams while 5 milliliters weighs 10 grams. What is the density and I need labels not just numbers.

20-10/10-5 = 10/5 = 2 grams/1 milliliter

400

Provide the two patterns for Earth orbiting the sun and explain why they occur.

The seasons occur because of the tilt of the Earth. The constellation pattern occurs because we can not see through the sun.

Explain how energy enters an energy pyramid and how it reaches the top and how it starts over again.

The sun provides energy for photoautotrophs. The photoautotrophs are then eaten by herbivores. Herbivores are eaten by omnivores or carnivores. The apex predator is the top predator. When everyone dies decomposers will recycle their organic material and start all over.

500

State the phases of matter in ascending order according to density. Also, state the one exception and explain why the exception is so important to life.

plasma, gas, liquid, solid

The exception is water. In water the liquid phase is more dense than the solid phase. This is important because all the fish would die in the oceans.

500

A cube has a volume of 343 cm3. What are the dimensions of the cube?

7 cm X 7 cm X 7 cm

500

State how the Earth gained the moon and list the phases of the moon.

The Earth collided with Theia and the dust from the explosion became the moon. Phases are new moon, waxing crescent, 1st quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter moon and then waning crescent.
