Tell me the meaning of compaction?

To pack something closely and tightly together

100

How many layers of the Earth are there and name them.

4 layers. The crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core

Green coloring inside the leaves

200

How many layers of the atmosphere are there?

200

What is pollination?

When an insect, bird, or wind carries pollin from flower to flower

200
When does weathering and erosion occur?
they occur after igneous rock to turn them into sediments
200

How old am I?

22

300

Explain weathering an erosion

Weathering- weather breaking down rocks

Erosion- The breakdown of earth's surface

300

Name the layers of the atmosphere

Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere, Exosphere

300

What part of the plant soaks up water and nutrients?

The roots

300

What happens after sediments become sedimentary rocks?

Heat, compaction, and pressure

300

Where is weather made at?

The troposphere

400

Define Chloroplast

Tiny dots inside of a leaf that absorbs the suns energy

400

Where is the Ozone layer located?

The stratosphere

400

What do plants breathe in and what do they breathe out?

They breathe in Carbon Dioxide and they breathe out Oxygen

400

what does compaction mean and when is it used?

to pack something close and tight together, it is sued to make metamorphic rocks

400

What percent of earths water is fresh water (drinking water)?

1%
500

Define Photosynthesis

Plants using the sun's energy to get food
500

What is the outer core made of and what does it provide for the earth?

Liquid nickel and iron and it provides the earths magnetic field

500

What is the photosynthesis equation?

6 Carbon + 6 Water + Sunlight Energy = 1 Glucose and 6 Oxygen

500

Explain the whole rock cycle to me

Magma is inside of a volcano, when the volcano erupts the lava cools and turns into igneous rocks, weathering and erosion occurs turning the igneous rocks into sediments, the sediments form together turning into sedimentary rocks, with heat and pressure the sedimentary rocks form together creating metamorphic rocks, those metamorphic rocks melt back into the group restarting the cycle.

500

What percent of earth is water?

71%
