What is Cyanobacteria?

This bacteria, commonly known as blue-green algae, consumes nutrients like phosphorus, nitrogen, and CO2, despite being photosynthetic, and can form large groups known as algal blooms. It lives on the surface of bodies of water, and despite its name, it is not algae.
