what is the definition of matter

Anything  that has mass and volume.

100

Say the 4 state of matter

Plasma, liquid, solid, and gas

100

What are the 6 separation techniques?

Sieving Filtration Distillation Chromatography evaporation and distillation

100

what are two properties?

Physical and chemical properties

17cm or 6.25 inches

200

what is pure substance

a fixed competition that has one kind of molecule or atoms.

Melting

200

How do we use sieving in real life?

Ex:  making tea, making coffee, separating gravel and sand

200

what are examples of two properties

300

How do we use evaporation in real life?

getting salt from salt water

300

what is physical,chemical change?

physical- no new substances changed

chemical-new substances changed

It is solid and liquid

400

How do we use magnetism in real life?

we use magnetism to separate iron from the ore

400

what is gas to liquid?

condensation

400

What are time zones?

A time zone is an area which observes a uniform standard time for legal, commercial and social purposes. Time zones tend to follow the boundaries between countries and their subdivisions instead of strictly following longitude, because it is convenient for areas in frequent communication to keep the same time.

500

explain the difference of homogeneous and Heterogeneous.

homogeneous you can't see particles easily.

but heterogeneous, you can see particles.

500

Say meaning of each four state

1. Solid has definite volume and definite shape

2. Liquid has definite volume but no definite shape

3. Gas has no definite shape and no definite volume

4. Plasma has no definite shape, no definite volume, and charged

500

What is chromatography used for?

Chromatography is useful for separating a mixture of liquids with different solubilities, like inks. A drop of the mixture is placed on a piece of chromatography paper and dipped in a solvent. Each liquid is carried up the paper to a different height depending on its unique solubility.

500

what are 4 signs of chemical change?( at least 2)
