What is an ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences)?
Type of stress that is unpredictable, severe, prolonged, unbuffered. It leads to chronic stress & vulnerability and can have a long-lasting impact on the brain & body

What are defining criteria of behavior?
It must occur if the individual is perceived to be a risk to themselves or others such as self-harming verbalizations or actions, harming others or signs of trauma
Mental Health Assessment
The position of one leg forward, one leg behind, hands down but can be used to shield
What is leading/trailing position?

Emotional, Sexual, Physical and Neglect

Factors that increase the likelihood of a particular behavior or coping strategy.
What is a setting event?
The source of behavior is stimulated from outside the program, with no staff presence and usually recent
What is a carry in behavior?
An event that caused harm or had the potential to cause harm
What is an incident?
