Solve and Treat
The Troop is on the Iron Chef Campout with a Temperature below Freezing. The Scouts were tasked with chopping Firewood. A Scout is on a campout when an Axe hits and sticks into his shin, which causes severe trauma to his shin. You have the Troop First Aid Kit. Describe what to do in this situation and account for all probabilities.
First you need to assess the situation and make sure it is safe to approach. You would then assess the wound and see if the Axe is still inside the shin or not. Do you need to call 911? Because the Axe is buried in his shin, take Gauze or clean bandages and stuff them around the axe without taking it out. Use gloves during this. Place more on top but don't remove the bandages. Next, after you stop or are close to stopping the blood flow, get the scout somewhere warm and wait for emergency response. You don't want to add hypothermia on top of his injury.
Solve and Elaborate
