The words the actors are supposed to say according to the script
What is DIALOGUE?
A camera angle rotated 180 degrees from the previous shot to get a shot from the "other side" of a scene

A shot that involves a camera following a person or an object
What is a TRACKING SHOT?
Transition whereby the action cuts between two action scenes to suggest that the action is happening at the same time
What is a CROSS-CUT?
Dialogue voiced over a scene in which the character's lips moving are not present in the scene
What is a VOICE OVER?
A descriptive term for how one scene 'transitions' to another scene (Used appropriately, these can be used to convey shifts in character development and emotion)
What is a TRANSITION?
Footage of events in history, from other films, etc. (Basically, anything that's already filmed and you intend to be edited into the movie)
What is a STOCK SHOT?
A quick snap of the camera from one object to another, causing the camera to blur
What is a SWISH PAN?
A transition in which one scene "wipes away" for the next
What is a WIPE TO?
A direction that describes a voice that is heard from somewhere unseen
What is OFF CAMERA/OFF SCREEN?
Text at the beginning of a scene that briefly describes the location and time of day
